Corsica is a mountain in the sea, which has always been coveted. That's why it has been occupied so often and for so long.
Apart from its strategic location, the water's presence makes it the most coveted Mediterranean island.
Today, each village has its own fountain, where you can get a supply on water.
People also say that this water comes from the Alps, by clearing a path under the Mediterranean sea.

The lack of pollution allows us to have some spring waters and mineral waters of an exceptional purity. The most famous ones are: as far as still waters are concerned, St Georges water, coming from the south of Corsica, at the bottom of the Serra-Cimaggia mountain, Zilia water, coming from the Haute-Corsica, at the bottom of the Montegrosse mountain; as for sparkling waters, Orezza water, coming from, as its name says it, Orezza, in the middle of the chestnuts, and which is naturally sparkling.
