Citrus fruits have an important place in the agriculture, whether it's lemons, oranges, clementines or citrons.
 Orchards are situated in the eastern plain, but also in Balagne, in the Corsican Cape, in the nebbiu and in the casinca.
 In Corsica, the tradition is that all kitchen gardens have citrus fruits.
It's not astonishing if today Corsican lemons and clementines have a good reputation.
As for oranges, they are very tasty but they are produced in less quantities.

As for citrons, it's the fruit of the citron tree and it comes from South Asia. It is raised only in the European warm regions. It is grown in a separate location because the mild Corsian citron is much sought after and it comes from a delicate farming. It needs a lot of care. That's the reason why it's very rare and it's especially used for confectionery and for liquor making.
